Winnekenni Castle Winnekenni Castle The first major stop was a castle. Really, for no other reason than it looked cool. I'd never been there before but now that I've been there twice, I have to say it's worth the trip. Note: If you happen to be planning a treasure hunt that stops at the castle - call first - or you might find a giant, fugly tent in the way of your carefully planned photograph. // end rant If you really want to see where we went, you can check out the approximate route (some locations changed to protect the guilty). For several weeks I scanned New England with Google Earth and decided on several location. Not all of them worked out. The major stops were:

    Make sure she wears comfortable shoes. The small hike(5 minutes really) from the Winnekenni parking area to the castle us uphill, and depending on which route you take, not paved. Very pretty spot though, good choice!
